EXTENDED STAY MOTELS

Humorous Commercial "Aired" on "The Colbert Report" September 15, 2008

Wow, I laughed like a crazy person when I got what this commercial was about.  Yeah, it took me half way through before I realized they were all "passing gas" in the extended stay motels.  I don't think the other viewers who commented on YouTube for this video understood that "The Colbert Report" is a comedic news review show.  I think they thought this was a real commercial for extended stay motels.  That makes it even more hilarious to me.

How at home do you feel at Extended Stay Motels?

The point of this commercial, even though it is a comedic routine, is that you feel this at home at extended stay motels that you can feel free to relieve your gastric pressure at will.  Have you ever stayed at any extended stay motels and how at home did you feel?  How long was your stay?  What was your experience?

I have only done some unconventional extended stay motels in the form of vacation cabins, an Air Force extended stay motels and places like that.  This actually looks nicer that some of the first apartments that we rented when we were first married.  Our family prefers using something like extended stay motels because we have several dietary restrictions and have difficulty getting what we need at restaurants.  Plus, it's just cheaper to stay at extended stay motels where you can cook for yourself.  Wouldn't you rather spend that extra money on something else?  There are always better things to do when you are on vacation than just blow all your money on restaurant food for all your meals.

Dream Travel

Extended stay motels are in my dream travel plans for the not so distant future.  I would love to be able to travel all over the world, stopping off where ever we find a place we like (yep, my hubby and I alone together at last!) and staying at extended stay motels for as long as we like until we feel like moving on to another destination.  My husband is a writer and I just think it would be very inspiring to live this way, not to mention affordable.  I'll call it my extended stay motels dream travel.  There are so many places I would like to go and things I would like to see: the Southwest and the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Anchorage Alaska (again, in the summer),  the Pacific Northwest--Portland and Seattle, Hawaii, Italy, England, Ireland, Caribbean,  Bali, .....

I am so excited already, when can we leave?
